I’m hooked
I’m practically addicted to reading novels on this app. My only two gripes is that there is too many pop ups recommending new novels whilst you’re navigating the app while not reading. My second is that it is really expensive, I’ve spent way too much money on coins to unlock chapters, it feels like it would be significantly cheaper to buy published novels.
Opening the app is still a painful experience
There’s roughly 3 popup when I try to open the app to access my library. It’s too much. You need a setting to disable those prompts.
Used to be better
I used to like webnovel a few years ago but the app has just declined recently. Unlocking chapters has always cost spirit stones but they used to be relatively simply to get and save up even without buying them. Now it is basically impossible to read anything without wasting your money on the app’s currency. I feel like Webnovel has gotten greedier and this greediness has ruined the app sadly. The layout of the app is messy and having recommendations pop up every seconds is pretty annoying. I also do not like the recommendation system they have. You have to sort books by female or male lead and when they ask for your preference you choose between female and male lead again. I think this is extremely ridiculous. They should have an option were you can see all novels regardless of the main character’s gender. I don’t care what gender the MC has as long as the novel is good so by using this dumb system it makes finding novels harder. Because I have gotten tired of this app completely I stopped reading novels from here which is sad because there are a lot of talented authors and amazing novels here, but the app ruins the whole experience. Maybe I will use it again after they fix everything about this mess which I highly doubt they will.
Very good but expensive
I’m an avid lover of fanfiction and novels so I really like this app but I am quite young and I have no source of income except for the money that my parents give me every month. I have spent almost half of my money in a week to be able to continue reading novels. I rate it 4/5 stars because it is a good app and obviously for people above my agegroup and with a higher income.
