  Tyvärr alldeles för långsam app - Annoyingly unoptimised

  Installerar den när jag byter upp mig och hoppas appen inte laggar lika mycket vid i princip alla åtgärder/taps. Uppdatering: Den är lika slö trots flera generationer snabbare mobil nu. Snälla utvecklare, optimera koden! Slow and choppy and weird mechanics

  Way to ruin a good thing.

  The widget is useless now since it opens the app for you instead of directly adding to the tally like before. I used to use that widget every day. I miss it. I need to find a new app now.

  Beautifully flawed; Tally is the best app for me

  A few days ago, the entire UI was updated. It’s really more of an overhaul of the app than an update. The good thingss: it feels like it belongs on iOS 14 now—widgets included, besides a snappier interface. However—where is importing and exporting to iCloud and Dropbox?! Also, I loved the fact that my data was portable via CSV export. No longer, it seems. Also, somehow I managed to erase the most important counter of them all. My iPhone XS had received the updated this morning. Luckily, I’ve got another iPhone. My SE (2nd Gen.) is still running the old version. Including my—on my XS—erased Tally. Talk about luck. So, what can I do here? I constantly export my data as CSV, and I do backups to iCloud and Dropbox on my other phone. My now crippled version on Tally—the one with the new user interface and design—is not usable at the moment. For me. The lack of backup and export to CSV feels like a regression, too. Less features, although the main features are quicker to use (Althing, the previous version had multiple shortcuts and ways to use it that I’ve grown accustomed to use…) Will I be able to restore my updated Tally app from the backups created on my other ohone, running the old Tally version? I hope so. I’m also glad that Tally hasn’t been updated on my iPhone SE. I hope it stays that way. Weird but in this case a good thing since I need the old version, for now at least—until you implement all previous features in the new version. This is a bad review. It’s probably edge-cases and they are individual for me. That’s why I want to be clear about my overall experience with Tally. It’s the best one out there, I think. Bear in mind that multiple apps exists on the App Store called “Tally”. Be sure it’s the one with a blue plus sign and a white background. 😊 Five stars—thanks for a great app. ** Old review ** Criticism first: I agree with other’s comments here—the app is sluggish, the GUI’s got to be written in a way where the code just barely executes… normal interface components—close buttons, or changing view (essentially, switching tabs) might take a virtual eternity… When tapping a close button, seconds go by before you get back to the main screen of Taply (the overview). I’m not an expert but it feels like it’s written in some weird framework—although not Electron, judging by the look and feel of the GUI components. The “free trial” wasn’t a truly free test period. It directly charge you for more than a year and started a “trial period”, which essentially just have you a few weeks extra “before your subscription started”. I was never deceived by this. Instead I started the “Growth Bundle Subscription” from one of the other apps in the bundle. That way, I avoided paying for like 18 months in one charge and instead, I got a monthly subscription for a reduced price—applicable to Tally. However this is the bad things and, by now, old news. I need to log certain things in my everyday life. Notes are not an option and spreadsheets overkill. Other solutions, like Elogy and Tallymander, are fantastic initiatives but not right for my use case. Since I rely on Tally and use it a dozen times a day, I feared that the app was about to be abandoned. I was wrong. An update was pushed a few days ago.   Removed my premium

  Last version removed my premium and use a subscription instead. Widget not available anymore and the GUI destroyed if using zoomed text. A simple and functional app destroyed over the last years updates and now I need to start looking for a replacement. :-(
