Unsafe upgrade 1Password 6 from App Store
As others reported it’s impossible to upgrade to version 7 of 1Password if you have bought previous version from App Store. All your saved data will be lost and your license-key will be lost. Do NOT upgrade if you not have a backup of all your data, If you have the skill it's possible to recover the application BUT WITHOUT help from AgileBit support team. I sent them a ticket and after 4 day’s ther’s still no response! It is a good product but now Agilebit has proven that they are falling behind. Time to look at a better product people!!
Dishonest company
I have used one passowrd for many years now, and I have bought the product twice, for my phone/watch and for my macbook. At the time it was a “life time” licence and I was happy with it. Now they want me to move into the cloude based yearly subscription and I find it dishonest and wrong in so many ways, that even having the possibility to buy it and expense, I still pereffer to go for another option. I get it, it is tough to make money and keep a product good, so the yarly subscription is the way to go with NEW users who never bough the life time product. The product itself was outstanding in my opinion and I have recommended it to several friends who now are also having the same issue I had. I hope you learn the hard way that letting the early users down do not pay off, even if the product itself is good.
Went from awesome (6) to horrible (7) user experience
So, the 1password mini app is bloated and in your face. Needs more clicks now to go to the same places as before, horrible user experience since upgrading, im not a friend of 1password 7 mini, thats for sure. 1password 6 mini used to be more slim and attached to the browser window, and suggest othe logins for same domain without needing an extra click.

Negative reviews seem unfair to me...
It seems clear that some users have had a bit of trouble migrating their data to the new version of the app – however: some initial problems hardly warrants such harsh reviews imho. 1password has long been and remains one of the all time best apps out there. For me the transfer from the previous version to 1password 7 worked flawlessly (perhaps because I am a subscribing customer and have data in the agile bits cloud?) I’ve just recently started using 1password 7 (and I seldom read the change log but instead prefer to just dive into it) but I’ve noticed a few welcome improvements already. The navigation in the main window has been improved, the sidebar is more welcoming and offers the ability to change vaults very much in the same way as Finders side-bar functions (you no longer need to open a drop-down menu). Also the menu-bar/mini-version of 1password feels much more stable compared to the earlier release. The earlier release could be a bit flimsy and had a tendency to close itself/collapse to soon – this seems to have been resolved. Also, in the earlier mini-/menu-bar 1password I experienced some sluggishness or latency from time to time, but the new version is fast and much easier to work with. 1password watchtower (that I did not find particularly useful earlier) has some nice added functionality. As an example: you can filter your passwords to display a list of all sites/services that supports 2FA that you have not yet activated – this is great because the use of 2FA seems to be ever growing and 1password really is the best way to handle your one-time-passwords, the hassle sometimes otherwise associated with it is effectively eliminated. All in all, this is a very nice update to a fantastic app. If you experience problems migrating your old data: well, it’s always a bummer wasting time on troubleshooting stuff like that, but it happens to even the best apps and developers. Get help from the agile-bits support team, try the app out, and then score it in here in the app store. Surely it’s well deserving of more than one star, even if the migration process proves to be sub-optimal.
