That annoying pling ruins everything for me

I love the app, but that ping thats way louder than the words we are learning is ruining everything for me. I can’t find a way to turn it off! Please fix this bc it’s so annoying and the reason I’m looking for another app to study language with

    The problem with +plus+

It is depressing to look at this app and then remember the good 😌 old days of Duolingo when premium (duolingo plus+) was not a thing. Now you have for example 5 hearts, that means that if you break them then you’ll not be able to learn (play) Duolingo for a period of time. There are thousands of language learning apps that have a premium version of them and Duolingo wasn’t one of them in the past days. Now that Duolingo has a premium version I have totally lost hope of the team. Duolingo gets therefore 2 stars ⭐️⭐️ and that is because they had a good past and introduced me to the Swedish language and Sweden 🇸🇪 when I moved here 6 years ago.

    The heart system is awful

I hate that you have lives to complete your lesson and you have to wait till the next day just to try again

The hearts feature has got to be one of the most annoying things about this app. It’s good for learning languages casually, but the hearts add a lot more stress to the whole thing. And if you’re going to have hearts, the time it takes to recharge them should be shorter. Five hours/heart is too long.
